Update: Fay is interviewed by the BBC on this website page.
The funeral took place today of Mike Vercoe, a member of the Bexley TOMCC who was tragically killed with Colin Morrish and Wendy Pointer in a motorcycling accident in Italy in September.
Over 100 bikes accompanied the cortege from the Pied Bull pub at Farningham to Eltham Crematorium for a short service.
Family and friends then joined together at the Danson Park boathouse café to hear tributes and memories of Mike from those who shared either his family life, his love of music or his love of motorcycling.
There is a short article on the BBC web site: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/kent/8346409.stm
Instead of flowers, donations in Mike's name would be very much welcomed by the Kent Air Ambulance.
As reported on the BBC News web site, the funeral took place today of Colin Morrish who was killed in a tragic accident in Italy last month with Wendy Pointer and Mike Vercoe.
Mike's funeral will take place on 6 November.

Details of the accident were reported on the Daily Mail website.
Mike was a member of Bexley TOMCC and a regular at club meetings, having recently become one of the first owners of the latest Triumph Thunderbird. Fay took on the post of regalia secretary at our last AGM.
Our thoughts are with Fay and their families at this time.
With perfect weather on offer, there was a record turnout for the "Old Bikes" run to Sundridge on the evening of Tuesday 23rd June. The Pied Bull car park was packed prior to departure, no doubt rather empty afterwards.
Everyone made it there along another of Gary and Ian's wriggly routes, with some familiar points along the way and many less so.
Thanks to them and everyone else involved in organising it, let's hope that some of the unfamiliar faces who turned up this week make it down to the Pied Bull again.
We had a good barbecue on Tuesday 16th although it clashed with the Mighty South London branch's similar event.
Dave went along to the Tsunami Rider's First Wave custom show in Bean on Saturday 20th and snapped some pictures in this gallery.
At long last we have put together an on-line catalogue of our club regalia to tempt the style-conscious site visitor.
There is quite a selection, presided over by our new Regalia Secretary, Fay, who also did all the hard work getting the pictures together.
See the page for descriptions of items and ordering details.
We had a busy if chilly weekend at Brands Hatch for the BMCRC Centenary weekend at Brands Hatch and an interesting visit to the Crossness Pumping station later in the month.
Following our AGM on Tuesday 31 March we still need a new Social Secretary as Jackie and Julie have stood down after years of successful event organising. We also need a Runs Captain to formulate some ride-outs.
On the up side, one vacant post has been filled and another changed hands: Ian Pocock has agreed to take up the vacant role of Nacelle scribe and Brenda has handed over regalia to Fay Vercoe.
Please note that the Booze Brothers are now playing on the Friday evening (24 July), not the Saturday as originally publicised.
Also, general rally news: the order form is now available for download on the rally page.
